Initial Consultation $125

Sheldon Galloway, Garden Environments Owner, or one of our landscape designers will meet with you for an hour conversation about your landscaping needs and budget. There are three potential outcomes from the initial consultation: 1. Both parties agree to move forward to the design phase. 2. You will decide that Garden Environments is not a good fit for your project; 3. We will decide that Garden Environments is not a good fit, but will refer you to another company.

If you decide to move forward with landscape installation, the consultation fee will be credited to that work

Design Phase

The design phase is a flat fee due upfront, based on the scope and complexity of your project. You will be asked to supply a copy of your plat or survey, a copy of neighborhood restrictive covenants and any pictures of plants or design ideas you like. The landscape designer will measure your property, take pictures, ask more questions and create a preliminary design for your review. After you review the preliminary design and make mutually agreed upon changes, the final plan will be developed. After we present the final plan, you will be asked to authorize the work and make a 50% deposit so we can order plants and materials for your job.

Installation Phase

To ensure continuity and quality, your landscape designer becomes the project manager for your project. Our experienced employees will install your hardscape and plants to industry accepted specifications. Please understand that weather conditions affect our ability to perform certain tasks. We will keep you informed of schedule changes. It is normal for natural materials such as stone to have color variations. To the best of our ability we will minimize disturbance to your home and landscape.

Payments

If your project is scheduled to last more than a week, you will be asked to make weekly progress payments. Weekly progress payments will be collected on Thursdays and the final balance will be due after completion.

If your project is scheduled to be completed within a week, you will make the final payment when the work is complete. Interest accrues 1 1/2 % per month after 30 days.

Change Orders

Additional major changes to the design and/or multiple design changes will incur a change order fee. Customer requested changes of materials and/or scope of work will require a change order. Occasionally, unforeseen conditions impede our ability to complete work as originally planned and estimated. In these circumstances, you will be informed of any options for completion and if a change order is needed. Change Orders can affect the cost of your project, the final look of your project and the completion schedule of your project.

Communications

Communication between clients and the company is important to achieving your desired landscape. Please let your designer know your preferred method of contact. Confirmation emails will be sent to confirm all major points of meetings and site visits.

To ensure customer satisfaction, your designer will follow up with you during the year after project completion. The follow up schedule is: 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.

Maintenance Phase

Your designer will show you the Maintenance options and you will choose the maintenance package that best fits your needs.
